“Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created – Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful, He Who taught (the use of) the pen, Taught man that which he knew not”

Knowledge is power, and Islam has always focused heavily on knowledge and learning of the holy scripture – the Quran over other virtues of man. The first verse of the Holy Qur’an states, “Read” (Iqrah). Also, the Prophet has stated that every man and woman's education and knowledge attainment is obligatory. It is why, to follow this dictate, Bismillah carries out education programs for children and adults alike. Bismillah gives free mainstream education to children and adults. We focus on religious knowledge as well as moral education. Bismillah provides the students with free books, meals, and more. One of the courses we provide is Quran Learning.

Bismillah’s Quran Learning/Nadira is an after-school program for children, both boys and girls. Our program/ service educates the children in reading, recitation, and memorizing the small Surahs from the Quran. We ensure that the children take proper steps to read and learn the Quran with Tajweed (pronunciation). For the advanced level students, our highly educated instructors spend time with them to help them read the Quran better. Moreover, students also learn to recognize the Arabic letters (alphabets) and then how to connect them to make meaningful words and sentences. Finally, we teach the students the proper recitation of the Quran.
